It’s great how a single photos could tell a thousand words, but in this exhibition there are series of photos that could tell Indonesia divided into seven clusters under various themes, as follows: the sites, the moves, the works, the artisans, the schools, the aristocrats and colonial bureaucracy, at last the people and faith. The series of images made by Jean Demmeni , until the Second World War. And His works until the Second World War were presented in many cultural jounral and has illustrated many books on tourism published in the Netherlands.
For me, I’m feeling so lucky living in this digital era, I feel everything is much more easy to get than the older era, especially before Indonesian Independence. I see many warrior in this photo series, how they hold our culture and keep their faith to fight for the independence. But now, I just realized that many many culture has been taken by foreign countries and slowly made us forget about our country, our culture, our self. Do you have the same feeling?
Today me and my parents take a morning walk at the ‘komplek’ near our house. Because we live in village, we don’t have good enough view. Haha. Many many flowers we see beautifully, and my mom got very excited to pick up the flowers. I just realize how beautiful is our God’s creature, and I think I lucky to get chance to see this things. So guys, let’s begin the day with grateful. Because when you stop and look around, you’ll realize this life is preety amazing
“And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose” – Romans 8:28
Hey folks! Forgive for long time no update on this blog. I got a very very hectic deadline in my study. At this holiday time baru aku sempetin buat update lagi, dan aku berkomitmen semoga (brati bisa nggak, haha) update terus wkwk.
Ceritanya pingin bikin breakfast sih, roti panggang dengan telur plus minum yang dingim dingin, melihat jam bangun di hari libur sudah terpaut siang, jadi hawa di sekitar sudah agak panas 😀
Gayanya pingin bikin roti panggang sama telur setengah matang, (sok ngafe banget) malah jadi nya roti gosong dan telur yg bener bener setengah matang,
seriusan, bagian tengah kebawah mateng, bagian tengah ke atas belum mateng. Maklum masih pemula, hehe semoga selanjutnya bisa lebih sempurna 😀
Flashback to 2012, this is my very first committee on campus.
As a new student at the Petra Christian University, I do not know much about the campus. When there was an opening committee, I try to challenge myself to divide time between studies and committees.
Finally after I was accepted in the equipment division, I tried to perform my duties well. Although I hope that I will go in the documentation division. Therefore, when I finished my desk job, I photographing the events. Here it is 😀
Last week, I went to Toyota car repair shop with my dad. It was my first time going to that repair shop. This is the service I get: on time, treats, and good solution. I know, these are a simple thing but from those simple things can bring great impact to the customer.
The thing that I can notice are,
1. Don’t make promises unless you will keep them. Especially in making an appointment for the first time. We must make a great ‘first impression’ to our customer. So we can grow their trustworthiness in us.
2. Be helpful – even if there’s no immediate profit in it.
